Acnecide Wash Gel is an anti-bacterial medication which helps tackle acne, whiteheads and blackheads that erupt on any part of the body. It contains the active ingredient benzoyl peroxide which helps destroy bacteria that cause acne.
The Acnecide Wash Gel is effective in treating mildly inflamed acne or non-inflamed acne, whiteheads, blackheads, pustules, and papules.
Acnecide Wash Gel contains the active ingredient benzoyl peroxide. Benzoyl peroxide is a type of keratolytic drug that breaks down the protein called keratin which is present in the skin. When applied, it breaks down and sheds the top layer of the skinwhere acne bacteria are present. This further breaks down existing blackheads and whiteheads, prevents new ones and unblocks the sebaceous glands.
The gel is usually recommended to be used once or twice a day, or as recommended to you by your prescription.
Wet your skin where you wish to apply the gel. Ensure that your hands are clean. Take a small amount of Acnecide Wash Gel and wash the affected area. Make sure that the product remains in contact with the affected area of skin for about 1 – 2 minutes before you rinse it with water. Then, gently pat your skin dry using a towel. Wash your hands once again after using the product.
Do not use Acnecide Wash Gel if:
You are allergic to benzoyl peroxide or any other ingredient present in the medicine.
Your skin is damaged or broken.
You are using any other topical treatment for acne
You are pregnant or breastfeeding
You are experiencing swelling or blisters after applying the product

Use with care as the product has a tendency of bleaching any coloured fabric, or dyed hair, which it comes into contact with.
