Flutiform is prescribed to people whose asthma symptoms are not controlled by the regular use oinhaled corticosteroids alone. It consists of two active ingredients – formoterol and fluticasone.

Formoterol, a long-acting bronchodilator, is used in the long-term treatment of asthma. Fluticasone, a synthetic corticosteroid, decreases inflammation in the lungs. Together, these ingredients control and prevent asthma symptoms.

Flutiform enters and gets absorbed into the lungs and airway cells, thereby preventing the release of certain chemicals that cause inflammationMoreover, fluticasone too reduces inflammation in the lungs and helps the airways relax and allow for easy breathing. This prevents asthma symptoms.

Flutiform inhaler is a preventative measure; it allows air to pass through the lungs and airways more easily with less resistance. This allows asthma patients to prevent any surprise asthma attacks.

Note: Flutiform is not an instant remedy for when a patient is having an asthma attack. Use a fast-acting rescue inhaler if it is needed.

Flutiform is available in three strengths: Flutiform 50/5 mcg, 125/5 mcg and 250/10 mcg. Flutiform 250/10 mcg is referred to as Flutiform 250. One Flutiform dose consists of these strengths respectively.
