Serevent is a preventer inhaler which helps treat breathing problems and other symptoms associated with asthma and chronic obstructive pulmonary disorder (COPD).  This inhaler contains the active ingredient salmeterol which has an anti-inflammatory effect.

 The accuhaler delivers the medicine in the form of a dry powder. It consists of pre-loaded blisters, which contain metered doses of the medicine in a powder form. Here are the steps for using this inhaler:  

  • Slide the lever of the inhaler to the side 

  • This will open up a blister with a ready dose.  

  • Breathe out as far as you can and then insert the mouthpiece inside your mouth.

  • Any heart disease 

  • High blood pressure (hypertension)
