Dymistais a dual-action nasal spray, a medication which is used to treat allergic rhinitis, also known as hay fever but can also help with the troublesome symptoms of sinusitis.

When you start using Dymista Nasal Spray for the first time, it must be prepared to ensure that you get a full dose of the medicine.

Prepare the Nasal Spray by doing the following:

  • Shake the spray bottle gently before using it.

  • Squeeze the sides of the cap to uncap the spray bottle.

  • Hold the spray upright and point the nozzle away from you.

  • Press the button firmly, it will pump a mist in the air. Repeat for about 4 to 6 times until it starts releasing a fine mist.

To use the spray, follow these steps:

  • Gently shake the spray bottle.

  • Clean your nostrils by blowing and then, bring your head a little forward.

  • Press the spray button to release one dose while breathing in through your nose. Then, take away the nozzle and breathe in through your mouth.

  • And then take one or two doses as recommended into the other nostril.

  • Replace the cap on the spray bottle.

The usual recommended dosage is one actuation into each nostril, twice a day, at the beginning.

The Dymista spray may not be recommended for some people, including:

  • Patients with liver problems

  • Patients with tuberculosis

  • Patients with glaucoma

  • Patients with cataracts  

  • Children under 12

  • Pregnant or breastfeeding women

  • Patients who are allergic to any of the ingredients of the spray
