Beclometasone nasal spray is the medication used to relieve the cold-like symptoms seen in Allergic rhinitis, Hay fever, or any other nasal allergies in patients above 18 years of age.  Beclomethasone nasal spray contains the medicine Beclomethasone, which alleviate symptoms like running nose, sneezing, blocked nose, throat and nose itching, seen in allergic rhinitis and hay fever.

  • Beclomethasone Nasal Spray should not be given to children below six years of age.

Beclometasone nasal spray has to be used twice a day, once in the morning and at night. The dose of the spray is 1 or 2 sprays in each nostril. Once the symptoms subside, the use of nasal spray should be stopped.

  • Shake the bottle well before using the spray. Then, remove the cap.
  • Clear your nose by blowing it gently.

  • Slowly breathe in through the nose and press the collar of the nozzle to release one spray in your nostril.
  • Slowly breathe out through your mouth.
  • Repeat the above step to instil a second spray dose, if required.
  • For the other nostril, repeat the above steps.
  • Once done, clean the nozzle with tissue paper and replace the cap to close it.

Beclometasone nasal spray does not exhibit severe side effects in most people. However, some people may experience dry or sore throat, hoarse voicesneezingdry or irritated nose, or nosebleedsunpleasant taste or smell.

Do not use Beclometasone nasal spray, when

  • You have an allergy to beclometasone or other medicines
